Job summary

Ultra Clean Technology is seeking a Senior EHS Specialist in Penang to lead and continually improve the EHS management system, ensuring compliance with Malaysian regulations and ISO standards. You will strengthen safety, environmental and fire safety controls, and support operational resilience and sustainable growth.

The role requires managing investigations, risk assessments, emergency planning, and regulatory reporting, while training staff and coordinating with engineering on safe design

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering or equivalent as recognized by MQA.
• Strong background in ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 management systems and RBA compliance.
• Knowledge of Malaysian environmental regulations including DOSH, DOE, and Bomba requirements.
• Competency certificates such as Safety & Health Officer and related EHS qualifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• EHS Management System Development & Compliance (20%): develop and maintain EHS systems aligned with ISO standards and DOSH requirements.
• Incident Investigation & Risk Control (15%): lead investigations using 8D and root-cause analysis; review HIRARC.
• Safety & Environmental Oversight (15%): act as SHO/OSH officer per Malaysian regulations; oversee waste and environmental reporting.
• Training & Capability Building (10%): ensure EHS training; deliver programs across the organization.
• Regulatory Reporting & Documentation (10%): submit reports to DOSH, DOE, Bomba; maintain compliance calendar.
• Emergency Preparedness & Response (10%): develop emergency plans, coordinate with JBPM, maintain BCP; ensure fire safety compliance.
