Job summary

Randstad Malaysia is seeking an experienced E&I engineer for a prominent EPCC contractor in Southeast Asia. The role focuses on leading E&I deliverables, ICSS integration, and modular skid packages to ensure seamless electrical and control interfaces.

The successful candidate has 6–8 years in oil & gas E&I, with DCS/ESD/F&G experience and strong vendor coordination. Responsibilities include FAT/SAT support, site commissioning, and ensuring IEC/ATEX/ISA safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Instrumentation & Control Engineering or related field.
• 6–8 years of E&I engineering experience in oil & gas, EPCC, or petrochemical environments.
• Hands-on ICSS design, integration, and architecture (DCS/ESD/F&G).
• Hazardous area classifications, instrument sizing/selection, and SIS/SIL experience.
• Strong communication, project coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and review of E&I deliverables (SLDs, loop diagrams, cable schedules, instrument index lists).
• Specify, evaluate, and integrate ICSS (DCS, ESD, F&G) with vendor packages and plant-wide control infrastructures.
• Collaborate with process and mechanical teams to engineer modular skid packages for seamless electrical and control interfaces.
• Technical evaluation of vendor bids for instruments, control valves, ICSS hardware/software, and electrical equipment; review and approve vendor drawings/documentation.
• Support FAT, SAT, loop checking, and site commissioning activities for E&I systems.
• Ensure designs comply with IEC, ATEX/IECEx, API, ISA and safety requirements.
