Job summary

MVC Resources seeks a Senior Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Engineer for its Malaysian flagship plant. The role is hands-on and leadership-driven, overseeing a team of 5 technicians and coordinating with contractors to ensure safe, reliable electrical and control systems across LV/MV networks, PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or power/instrumentation
• 5–6 years of E&I maintenance or process eng. in chemical/continuous processes
• Hands-on leadership and coaching of technicians on the shop floor
• Experience with LV/MV power distribution, transformers, switchgear, VFDs and MCCs
• Proficient PLC troubleshooting and SCADA/HMI interfacing; familiarity with Modbus
• Capable of CAPEX project delivery, budget control, and shutdown execution

Responsibilities

• Lead the E&I maintenance team and supervise contractors to ensure safe, on-time delivery within budget
• Drive plant uptime, equipment OEE, energy optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Oversee power distribution, automation upgrades, instrumentation, and control loop tuning
• Lead CAPEX initiatives from design to commissioning and handover
• Ensure regulatory compliance, safety protocols, energy management, and proper documentation
