Job summary

Emerson is seeking a senior E&I engineer in Malaysia to engage customers and provide technical leadership on project execution. You will lead design reviews, ensure technical alignment with specifications, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the project lifecycle.

The role requires hands-on experience with instrumentation and control systems, hazardous area concepts, and global engineering standards, with opportunities for regional leadership at higher levels.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering or related discipline.
• Relevant experience delivering E&I engineering for industrial projects.
• Hands-on experience with custody transfer metering, analyzers, instrumentation, or skid solutions.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical contact for customers on E&I matters during project execution.
• Lead technical discussions, design reviews, and clarification meetings with customers, consultants, end users, and inspection agencies.
• Review customer specifications, datasheets, and contracts to ensure alignment and compliance.
• Support project teams in resolving technical issues, scope clarifications, and deviations.
• Build strong customer relationships through clear communication and technical credibility.
• Support Sales and Proposal teams during bidding, clarification, and pursuit activities.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineers and designers.
• At Principal level, provide regional technical leadership and drive standardization initiatives.
