Job summary

EPF Malaysia is seeking an experienced equity investment professional to deliver ROI and maintain the portfolio health of domestic public equities in line with approved guidelines.

The role requires monitoring market performance, conducting research, recommending stock buys/sells, and presenting analyses for investment decisions. A 7+ year track record and a Bachelor’s degree are essential, with fluency in Bahasa Melayu and English; the position is permanent and based in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Management, Banking, Finance/Investment or equivalent recognized by Government.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in fund management, equity research, or related field.
• Fluent in Bahasa Melayu and English.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Team player with basic leadership potential.
• Good time management skills.
• Strong analytical thinking and research capability.
• Proficient in computing tools.

Responsibilities

• Keep track of market performance and the progress of invested companies.
• Conduct research and provide recommendations on buying and selling of shares per guidelines.
• Monitor mandate status and make portfolio decisions to generate income.
• Constant monitoring of portfolio to achieve investment objectives.
• Develop sector/company expertise using Top Down/Bottom Up Research.
• Prepare research reports on equity investments and new prospects.
• Contribute to weekly strategy meetings for investment decisions.
• Conduct presentations internally or to management to support discussions.
• Perform other duties as required by supervisor.
• Provide guidance for less experienced team members on fund management.
