Job summary

onsemi in Malaysia (Petaling Jaya) seeks a Senior Director of Module Development to lead the next generation of high-power modules for automotive, industrial and AI applications. You will drive cross-functional teams across engineering, product management and manufacturing to deliver roadmaps ahead of the competition.

The role demands strong leadership, a track record in R&D, and expertise in power systems, packaging architectures, and DOE/DFMEA.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Engineering, Material Science, Physics or similar.
• Successful R&D track record and project management skills.
• Automotive industry knowledge and experience working at tier-1 supporting OEM designs of high voltage power systems.
• Development and delivery of modules for diverse applications including, but not limited to automobile and solar.

Responsibilities

• Develop high power modules for automotive, industrial and AI applications.
• Manage product lifecycles from definition to manufacturing release.
• Create best-in-class modeling and simulation capabilities of new module designs to reduce development time and improve product performance.
• Lead teams to create Design Failure Mode Effects Analysis (DFMEA) for module development.
• Collaborate with Operations to scale to volume manufacturing with high quality and yield.
