Job summary

Nexperia Malaysia is seeking a Senior Equipment Sustaining Engineer to ensure high availability and reliability of ASM and Quick equipment in our semiconductor assembly facility. You will support production, resolve equipment issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

You will lead troubleshooting, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance while monitoring OEE, MTBF, and MTTR. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related Engineering discipline.
Minimum 5 years of experience in semiconductor equipment engineering.
Hands-on experience supporting ASM and/or Quick equipment.
Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
Experience in equipment sustaining within a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of SPC, FMEA, 8D, and CAPA methodologies.
Experience in equipment qualification and validation activities.
Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

Ensure optimum performance and reliability of ASM and Quick equipment.
Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for equipment-related issues.
Drive preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
Monitor and improve equipment KPIs such as OEE, MTBF, and MTTR.
Support equipment qualifications, validation, and new product introductions (NPI).
Collaborate with Production, Process Engineering, Quality, and suppliers to resolve technical issues.
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity and reduce downtime.
