Job summary

CBH Engineering Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer to design and develop switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, VSDs and related electrical layouts. You will perform sizing, calculations and equipment selection, and prepare material take-offs for procurement.

The role requires 3–6 years of experience in electrical design, with proficiency in ETAP/SKM and Naviswork. You will engage with consultants, vendors and site teams and assist in tender design and costing.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 3–6 years’ experience in electrical design.
• Competency in ETAP/SKM or equivalent.
• Naviswork proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop Key SLDs, layouts, Protection & Control diagrams for switchgears, transformers, UPS, generator, VSD, cables, ELV, etc.
• Perform electrical system design, calculations, sizing and equipment selection.
• Prepare material take-offs for procurement.
• Evaluate equipment and review vendor designs/data.
• Contribute to tender design and costing as required.
• Attend project and design coordination meetings; liaise with consultants, vendors and site teams.

Job description

Develop Key SLD, layouts, Protection & Control diagrams of Switchgears, transformers, UPS, generator, VSD, cables, ELV etc.

Perform electrical systems design and calculations, electrical sizing and selection.

Material take-off for procurement.

Technical evaluation ofequipment, review vendor equipment design/data.

Involve in tender design, costing as required.

Attend project meetings, design coordination meetings as required.

Perform inspection, FAT/SAT and witnessing of tests on major equipment.

Travel to sites for site review, provide engineering evaluations and solutions.

Liase closely with Consultants, Vendors and Site teams.

Assist superior in other tasks / proposal activities as required.

Education & Experience

Degree in Electrical Engineering.

3-6 years’ experience in electrical design.
