Job summary

Celestica is seeking a seasoned Failure Analysis and Debug Engineer in Malaysia to interpret data from yield reports and diagnostics, identify failure sources, and optimize product performance. You will apply DOE, Six Sigma, and robust failure analysis methodologies in a highly collaborative environment with design, quality, and supplier teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Automation, Mechatronics, or related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing debug engineering.

Responsibilities

• Analyze failure data from yield reports and equipment logs to determine sources of failure and yield loss.
• Debug and troubleshoot product failure using data analytics, DOE, TDR, Six Sigma tools, and failure analysis methodologies.
• Collaborate with Customer, Design, Quality, Process, and Supplier Engineers to solve problems and improve yield and performance.
• Drive failure troubleshooting and develop debug methodologies from NPI onwards.

Job Description

1. Failure Analyze and interpret data and information from yield reports and equipment logs and product diagnostics to determine sources of failure and yield loss.
2. Debug and troubleshoot product failure using data analytic, DOE (design of experiments), TDR, Six Sigma tools, and failure analysis methodologies
3. Collaborate with Customer, Design, Quality, Process, Supplier Engineer into problem solving and test yield and performance issues.
4. Drive failures troubleshooting and develop debug methodology since NPI
5. Set up continuous yield improvement and bone pile drive with customer and design team
6. Introduce proper debug tools and capacity per projected failure rate.
7. Analyze failure opportunity and develop and implement test, debug, component failure procedures for efficient and effective detection of defects.
8. Analyze test results and provide feedback to design and component engineers for product performance improvement.
9. Evaluate and integrate new test/debug technology to enhance capabilities and address evolving product requirements
10. Collaborate with the team on bone pile, scrap and NDF reduction, productivity improvements to cycle time.
11. Provide solution support to test engineers to improve detection, increase test coverage, and improve product performance.
12. Documentation & Reporting: Generate failure analysis summaries, update technical procedures, and maintain traceability within manufacturing execution systems.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or above in Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
• Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in electronics manufacturing debug engineer.
