Job summary

Lumileds International is seeking a staff-level Manufacturing IT Database Administrator in Malaysia. The role focuses on administering and architecting Oracle, MSSQL, and MySQL databases to support global manufacturing operations.

You will interact with peers and key users to understand requirements, provide world-class IT support, and ensure high availability and performance of critical databases in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 7+ years of DBA/architecture experience with Oracle and MSSQL.
• Experience with MySQL and other RDBMS is a plus.
• Strong debugging, performance optimization and SQL programming skills.
• Experience on Linux and Windows environments.
• Ability to provide 24x7 support and ensure DB availability.
• Knowledge of data backups, recovery, security and integrity.
• Experience with data migration, partitioning and archiving.

Responsibilities

• Administer complex large databases globally.
• Interact with users to understand requirements.
• Develop and maintain SQL solutions in Oracle, MSSQL and MySQL.
• Monitor performance and optimize infrastructure and design.
• Prepare technical documentation and reports.
• Conduct backups, testing and disaster recovery activities.
• Handle data migration jobs and scripts as required.
• Take ownership of performance and capacity monitoring.
