Job summary

GrabTaxi Holdings Pte. Ltd. invites a data science professional to join our Petaling Jaya office. You will analyze transactional data, develop and deploy ML models, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate fraud-detection systems at scale.

You will push the boundaries of machine learning and agentic applications, reporting to the Data Science Manager II. This full-time, on-site role offers growth in cutting-edge AI at Grab in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Physics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or related quantitative field.
• At least 3 years of Python and SQL experience with distributed engines like Spark.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying ML models using libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, XGBoost, LightGBM, or Scikit-learn.
• Practical experience with DL architectures (Transformers, RNNs, CNNs) and traditional ML (Boosted Trees).
• Understanding of LLM/Agentic foundations (RAG, Transformers) and tools like LangGraph/LangChain/Claude subagents.
• Experience with AI tools and emerging technologies to boost productivity and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Partner with teams to architect scalable data science solutions translating complex challenges into strategic wins.
• Conduct research to incorporate latest algorithmic and generative AI advancements into defense systems.
• Prepare, augment, and combine diverse data types to build high-fidelity training datasets, including synthetic data generation with LLMs.
• Design, train, and fine-tune model architectures using GNNs, Transformers, open-source LLMs, and gradient boosted trees.
• Lead end-to-end lifecycle of models from production deployment to monitoring with cross-functional teams.
• Leverage Generative AI tools to accelerate coding, testing, and productivity.
