Businesslist is seeking a Senior Data Engineer (Mandarin Speaker) to design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT solutions and data pipelines in a enterprise environment based in Kuala Lumpur. You will work with stakeholders across regions to translate business needs into robust data architectures and present data-driven solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/ IT / Engineering / Data Science or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or ETL/ELT development.
• Strong hands-on experience designing and developing ETL/ELT solutions.
• Experience engaging stakeholders and presenting data solutions.
• Ability to communicate with business and technical teams.
• Mandarin-speaking capability is required to support stakeholders.
• Exposure to Databricks is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT solutions and enterprise data pipelines.
• Build and enhance data warehouse and modern data platform solutions supporting reporting and analytics.
• Engage business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Present and recommend data-related solutions to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Optimize data processing performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Ensure data quality and support best practices across data engineering initiatives.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with regional teams on enterprise-wide data projects.
