Job summary

Oxydata Software Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain data pipelines and data infrastructure powering analytics and AI-driven products. The role focuses on batch and streaming ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehousing, data governance, and collaboration with data scientists to productionise models.

Qualifications

• Must-have degree in a related field and Malaysian candidates only.
• 3+ years of data engineering or backend data experience.
• Strong SQL and Python skills with ETL/ELT experience.
• Experience with data warehouses (BigQuery/Snowflake/Redshift/PostgreSQL).
• Familiarity with Airflow, dbt or Dagster, cloud platforms and Git.
• Solid data modelling knowledge and performance tuning.
• Good communication and ability to work onsite with the team.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable batch and streaming data pipelines (ETL/ELT).
• Ingest and integrate data from APIs, databases, files, and streams.
• Model and structure data in the data warehouse for analytics.
• Ensure data quality, reliability, and observability via testing and monitoring.
• Optimize queries, storage, and pipeline performance to reduce latency.
• Collaborate with data scientists to productionise models and deliver clean datasets.
• Implement data governance, security, and privacy best practices.
• Document data flows, schemas, and pipeline logic for the team.
