Job summary

Ørsted Data Ecosystem in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a data engineer who will develop and maintain production-grade data ingestion pipelines and support data-driven decision making across the organisation.

You will collaborate with data engineers, architects, and stakeholders, work with Spark, PySpark, Kafka, NiFi, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and container tech (Kubernetes, Docker), and apply CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• Data engineering experience in analytics and processing tools (ETL/ELT).
• Hands-on Python and SQL with DevOps/CI/CD knowledge.
• Experience with Spark/PySpark, Kafka or NiFi.
• Familiar with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containers (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Curious mindset with a passion for data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production-grade data ingestion pipelines.
• Ensure data is secure, stable, and performant.
• Collaborate with data engineers, architects and stakeholders to solve problems.
• Contribute to governance and capabilities of the data platform.
• Set up monitoring and orchestration of data pipelines.
