Job summary

Alliance Bank Malaysia Berhad is seeking a Senior Data Architect to define and maintain enterprise-wide data architecture blueprints and governance. You will design scalable data platforms and partner with leadership to shape the data strategy.

You will mentor engineers, drive data mesh concepts, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with business units to translate requirements into robust data solutions across cloud and on-prem environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 8–12+ years of experience in data management, architecture, or engineering.
• Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and tools, SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms (Azure Synapse, Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery).
• Knowledge of data governance tools (Collibra, Purview, Alation).
• Familiarity with streaming platforms (Kafka, Event Hub).
• Experience with DevOps/DataOps practices and API-based/microservices architectures.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain enterprise-wide data architecture blueprints (logical, physical, and conceptual models).
• Design scalable data platforms including data lakes, data warehouses, lakehouses, and streaming architectures.
• Establish standards for data modeling, integration, storage, and access.
• Develop data architecture aligned with cloud and hybrid environments.
