Job summary

Funding Societies | Modalku in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to drive growth and commercial analytics for the lending business. You will own customer value, segmentation, acquisition, and retention insights to guide leadership on where to invest across products and channels.

You will build lifetime value frameworks, analyze sales and marketing data, and perform hypothesis-driven analyses with clear visualisations and stakeholder-ready recommendations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in customer, marketing or product analytics, ideally in financial services.
• Experience delivering analyses such as segmentation, lifetime value, hypothesis testing, and acquisition strategy.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with BI or data visualization tools.
• Structured problem-solving and strong analytical reasoning.
• Proactive attitude with ability to present proposals to stakeholders.
• Strong communication and teamwork with cross-department ownership.

Senior Data Analyst - Growth & Commercial Analytics

As a Senior Lending Analyst focused on growth and commercial performance, you own the customer and sales-side view of the lending business, covering customer value, segmentation, acquisition, and retention. You'll turn data into insights that help leadership decide which customers, products, and channels to invest in.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain a customer lifetime value framework to identify which customers, products, and channels merit continued investment
• Analyse sales and marketing activity data, translating findings into acquisition and retention recommendations
• Own end-to-end hypothesis-driven analysis of growth questions such as acquisition, churn, retention, and monetisation
• Establish and maintain standardised KPIs and measurement frameworks to track commercial performance
• Communicate insights through clear visualisations, reports, and presentations
• Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to align on objectives and inform decision-making

About you

• 5+ years of experience in customer, marketing, or product analytics, ideally within financial services
• Experience delivering analyses such as customer segmentation, lifetime value analysis, hypothesis testing, and acquisition strategy
