Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a Senior Customer Project Management Specialist in Malaysia to drive complex engineering initiatives from proposal to delivery. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, define objectives, and ensure milestones align with customer requirements in a global context.

The role requires a strong engineering foundation, 6–8 years of project engineering experience, and the ability to work with multinational customers.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 6-8 years of project engineering experience in related field.
• Experience in electrical or mechanical engineering industry within the public sector, healthcare, transportation, utilities.
• Able to work in an international environment which includes liaising with regional application center and multinational customers from international locations.
• Possess excellent interpersonal skills as well as strong command of the English language, both verbal and written.
• PMP Certification, a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans; conferring with
• Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements; assigning personnel to phases and elements; reviewing bids from contractors.
• Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards.
• Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements.
• Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems.
• Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes; recommending actions.
• Controls project costs by approving expenditures; administering contractor contracts.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.Responsible for on time engineering milestones according to project schedule
• Provide inputs for drafting & responsible for correctness of drawings
• Responsible for all technical questions and solutions for the assigned projects.
• Handle multiple projects in parallel
• Customer communication regarding project and technical aspects
