Job summary

Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation Malaysia Berhad seeks a skilled Credit Analyst to review credit applications for accuracy, ensure compliance with Head Office rules and procedures, and support robust credit control and risk management. You will monitor credit data and communicate findings to front office and Credit Department, ensuring proper approvals and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification in business, economics, accountancy or related discipline.
• Minimum 3-5 years of credit analysis, credit review and well versed with Head office credit related policies/rules will be added advantage.
• Strong communication and analytical skills and able to work efficiently in both independent and team work environments.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing credit applications for compliance with Head Office rules and guidelines; assess accuracy of customer information, facilities and collateral.
• Reviewing credit monitoring including obligor and facility grading; ensure appropriate self-assessment and adjustments.
• Monitor market signals such as share price movements and external ratings changes; escalate via Trigger Report as needed.
• Trigger Business Promotions based on adverse credit monitoring information.
• Oversee credit policies, procedures, KPIs, and training to manage credit risk and provide recommendations.
• Prepare reports for Management meetings and regulatory reporting on credit administration.
• Coordinate with Credit Control and other departments to ensure proper credit functions and procedures.
