Job summary

2201 United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd is seeking a Credit Analyst to evaluate new-to-bank and existing customers by reviewing financial statements, cash flow projections, and business plans to assess creditworthiness. You will monitor overdue accounts and help prepare management reports.

Fresh graduates are welcome; you should have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and good MS Office proficiency. Knowledge of SAP and CMS is a plus for this role.

Qualifications

• Degree holder in Finance, Accountancy or Economics.
• Fresh graduates are welcome.
• Experience in banking industry will be advantageous.

• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.
• Knowledge in SAP and CMS will be added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive credit evaluation on new-to-bank and existing customers by reviewing financial statements, cash flow projections, business plans and other relevant information to assess creditworthiness.
• Evaluate debt repayment ability based on factors such as income, assets, debts, employment status, credit history and other related factors.
• Provide recommendations on credit limit/approvals based on the outcome of the credit evaluation process.
• Monitor and control overdue accounts, negotiating payment schedules when necessary.
• Ensure all credit proposals are processed within agreed turnaround time.
• Maintain up-to-date records of customer’s credit history and account status in the bank’s system.
• Comply with all applicable internal policies and procedures including credit policy manual and operating instructions.
• Assist in the preparation of management reports on credit proposals and outstanding loans.
