Job summary

United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd is seeking a Credit Risk Analyst to conduct comprehensive credit evaluations for new and existing customers. You will assess creditworthiness using financial statements, cash flow, and business plans, and recommend credit limits or approvals.

Responsibilities include monitoring overdue accounts, ensuring timely processing of proposals, and maintaining accurate credit history records. Fresh graduates are welcome; banking experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive credit evaluation on new-to-bank and existing customers by reviewing financial statements, cash flow projections, business plans and other relevant information to assess creditworthiness.
• Evaluate debt repayment ability based on factors such as income, assets, debts, employment status, credit history and other related factors.
• Provide recommendations on credit limit/approvals based on the outcome of the credit evaluation process.
• Monitor and control overdue accounts, negotiating payment schedules when necessary.
• Ensure all credit proposals are processed within agreed turnaround time.
• Maintain up-to-date records of customer’s credit history and account status in the bank’s system.
• Comply with all applicable internal policies and procedures including credit policy manual and operating instructions.
• Assist in the preparation of management reports on credit proposals and outstanding loans.

Job Requirements

• Degree holder in Finance, Accountancy or Economics;

• Fresh graduates are welcome;

• Strong analytical skills and attention to details;

• Good communication and interpersonal skills;

• Proficient in MS Office applications;

• Knowledge in SAP and CMS will be added advantage.
