Job summary

Intel Corporation is seeking a Senior CPU Circuit Design Engineer in Malaysia to design custom digital CPU blocks, including memory, and optimize power, performance, and area. You will verify designs through schematic entry, simulations, and comprehensive timing/noise checks, applying advanced CMOS tech and layout methods.

The role requires collaboration with architecture and layout teams to ensure functional and electrical alignment, and to continually improve design flows and verification

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with 6+ years of hands-on experience.
• Master's degree with 4+ years of hands-on experience.
• PhD with 2+ years of hands-on experience.
• Proficiency with industry-standard EDA tools for circuit design and verification.
• Experience in circuit simulation, timing analysis, noise analysis, and reliability evaluations.
• Strong understanding of advanced CMOS technology and physical layout techniques.
• Solid understanding of power optimization, timing analysis, and design for manufacturability.

As a Senior CPU Circuit Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and developing custom digital circuits for CPUs, including memory. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize power, performance, area, timing, and yield goals, while ensuring the functionality and reliability of CPU circuits. Your expertise will directly contribute to the creation of cutting-edge processors that shape Intel's technological leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Design custom digital circuits for CPU blocks, including memory, with a focus on optimizing power, performance, area, timing, and yield.
• Develop and verify circuit designs through schematic entry, simulation, and functional validation.
• Conduct comprehensive design verification using industry-standard methodologies, including timing analysis, noise analysis, and layout rule checks.
• Apply advanced CMOS technology and physical layout techniques to achieve robust and efficient designs.
• Enhance and automate design flows and methodologies for streamlined circuit design processes.
• Drive continuous improvement of methodologies and tools for circuit design and verification.
• Characterize memory instances and memory compilers, driving improvements in performance, power efficiency, and area reduction.
• Collaborate with CPU architecture and layout teams to ensure circuits meet functional and electrical capabilities.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure functional and technical alignment throughout the design process.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with 6+ years of hands-on experience
• Master's degree in a relevant field with 4+ years of hands-on experience
• PhD with 2+ years of hands-on experience

• Experience in circuit simulation, timing analysis, noise analysis, and reliability evaluations.
