Job summary

Flowserve in Malaysia is seeking a Supervisor, Cost Accounting to lead a manufacturing cost‑accounting team. You will oversee monthly closes, cost analyses, and site reporting while ensuring SOX controls and policy adherence across the function.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in cost accounting within manufacturing, a strong Excel skillset, and English communication; Mandarin is a plus. This role is based in Malaysia with close collaboration to finance partners and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Studies.
• At least five years of relevant experience, including two years in a shared‑service center.
• Cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.
• CPA, Chartered Accountant, or equivalent qualification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the cost‑accounting team’s monthly close, reporting, reconciliations, cost analysis, project reviews, valuation adjustments, and supplemental reporting.
• Forecast and monitor team capacity, leave, overtime, and operational activity while ensuring compliance with SLAs and policy.
• Lead internal controls design and governance to support SOX and local requirements.
• Prepare and review monthly site analytics templates and management reports; partner with finance partners for variance explanations.
