Job summary

SPX Express Malaysia is seeking a corporate communications practitioner with strong writing, media relations and issues-management capabilities to protect and strengthen SPX’s reputation.

This hands-on corporate reputation role focuses on external narratives, media engagement, and executive communications, requiring agency-trained or in-house experience and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of experience in Corporate Communications, Public Relations, Corporate Affairs, or Reputation Management.
• Agency experience preferred, especially in corporate reputation, media relations, or issues/crisis communications.
• Excellent written English with strong drafting skills for press releases, media statements, Q&As and speeches.
• Proven experience managing media relations and building journalist relationships.
• Strong stakeholder management skills across cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
• Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities and perform under pressure.
• Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and/or Mandarin is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop corporate messaging, narrative frameworks and communications plans.
• Translate business priorities into external narratives and reputational strategies.
• Monitor emerging issues and provide timely communications advice.
• Draft and edit press releases, statements, Q&As, briefing notes and speeches.
• Manage media inquiries and coordinate with internal teams and external agencies.
