Job summary

Maker Lab, a Kuala Lumpur–based marketing agency, is seeking an experienced Copywriter to join campaigns and social content for a global luxury hospitality client. You will work closely with the client's regional brand and marketing team in a fast-paced environment and own your lane.

Requirements include a BA/BS degree and 7+ years in copywriting with agency or luxury brands, strong content marketing, social, and creative skills, and the ability to work autonomously in a start-up–like setting.

Responsibilities

• Omnichannel copywriting for always-on social content, monthly EDMs, campaign copy, and content series.
• Website optimisation: rewrite copy within global templates to ensure luxury compliance.
• Maintain and protect the distinct luxury tone and swim lanes for each brand.
• Collaborate with the client's Senior Director, Brand Directors, and external managers from brief to delivery.
• Champion new trends in copywriting and digital content strategy.

You will step into a high‑impact role, working directly alongside the client's core regional brand and marketing team in a flat, fast‑paced environment where you are expected to own your lane.

Role

• Omnichannel Copywriting: Curate and write compelling written outputs, including always‑on social content, monthly dedicated brand EDMs, ad‑hoc campaign copy, and a specialised content series.
• Website Optimisation & Compliance: Collaborate closely with a Project Specialist and the digital services team to execute a comprehensive hotel website reset. Review, adapt, and rewrite copy within global templates to ensure luxury compliance across individual hotel properties.
• Tone of Voice Mastery: Maintain, express, and protect the distinct luxury tone and "swim lanes" unique to each brand in the portfolio.
• Collaborative Execution: Work directly with the client’s Senior Director, Brand Directors, and external project managers from brief to final execution, flagging challenges early and keeping deliverables moving efficiently.
• Creative Excellence: Act as a vocal advocate for the newest trends in copywriting and digital content strategy.

You

• BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of copywriting experience, with prior experience and proven track record in social media and digital content strategy within an agency, consultancy or luxury companies.
• Passionate about all things content marketing, content creation, social and creative.
• Ability to work autonomously with a self‑starter attitude in a start‑up‑like environment.
• Strong project management skills, ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic and constantly evolving matrix organisation.
• Exceptional verbal and written English communication and presentation skills.
