Qualifications

• 10+ years on-site contracts administration experience in large commercial building projects.
• Degree in Construction Management or Quantity Surveying.
• Proven procurement, claims and cost reporting expertise.
• Strong knowledge of contracts and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication and analytical abilities.
• Experience with online construction platforms.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement - from trade package scoping and tender analysis to subcontract letting
• Administer head contracts and subcontracts, ensuring compliance with time, cost, and quality obligations
• Assess and negotiate variations, EOTs, and subcontractor claims
• Prepare and submit head contract payment claims and project financial reports
• Maintain cost forecasts, cashflows, and risk registers
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Mentor junior CAs and contribute to continual improvement of systems and processes

Job description

We're seeking an experienced, energetic Senior Contracts Administrator / Commercial Manager to take ownership of trade lettings, procurement and contract administration on an exciting new multistorey residential building project in Australia. You'll work closely with the Project Manager and leadership team to drive procurement, manage subcontractor performance and safeguard budgets and project entitlements from start to finish. This is a hands-on, senior role suited to a commercially astute professional who enjoys working autonomously while mentoring others. You'll play a pivotal part in ensuring the project is delivered profitably, compliantly and in line with client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement - from trade package scoping and tender analysis to subcontract letting
• Administer head contracts and subcontracts, ensuring compliance with time, cost, and quality obligations

About you

• Minimum 10 years' on-site CA experience with reputable, large commercial building contractors
• Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or similar
• Proven ability across procurement, claims and cost reporting
• Strong knowledge of Contracts
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
• Highly organised, proactive, and commercially driven
• Experience with online construction platforms
