Job summary

SBM Offshore N.V. invites an experienced Senior Contract Manager to join our global team. You will oversee main contracts across projects, drive commercial strategy, and ensure contractual compliance from bid through execution.

With 10–15 years in contract management (Claims, EPCI, subcontracts) and a strong background in sales and lease contracts, you will coordinate risk, auditability, and stakeholder communication to optimise commercial outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree or MBA in Business Management, Law, Construction Law, Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
• 10–15 years’ experience in contract management including Claims, EPCI and subcontract management.
• Broad experience in sales and lease contracts and contract negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Manage Main Contracts.
• Expedite contract deliverables and requirements.
• Develop contracting strategies including Sub-contracts & Supply Chain.
• Monitor performance and compliance with contract requirements and signatory powers.
• Ensure commercial and contractual awareness across the Project Team.
• Achieve and maintain auditability of all commercial dealings with clear reporting.
• Participate in Risk and Opportunities management.
• Provide Contract Feedback during the life of the project.
• Ensure Guarantee period management.

Purpose

• The Senior Contract Manager provides Contract Management support for project or unit execution across Supply Chain, Client focus and Subcontract to ensure a contractually compliant and a commercially optimised contract.

Responsibilities

• You manage Main Contracts.
• You manage and expedite contract deliverables and requirements.
• You support and coordinate the development of contracting strategies, including Sub-contracts & Supply Chain.
• You monitor performance and compliance with contractual requirements and signatory powers, expedite disciplines where necessary, and highlight potential areas of concern.
• You ensure commercial and contractual awareness across the Project Team throughout the life of the project.
• You achieve and maintain total auditability of all commercial and contractual dealings, including clear record-keeping and regular commercial reporting.
• You participate in and provide input to Risk and Opportunities management.
• You provide Contract Feedback during the life of the project.
• You ensure Guarantee period management.

Education

• Degree or MBA in one of the following disciplines (Business Management, Law, Construction Law, Engineering or Quantity Surveying).

Experience

• At least 10-15 years of experience covering all aspects contract management including Claims, EPCI, subcontract management.
• Broad experience in sales and lease contracts, in executing contract negotiation.
• Experience of project execution interface.
