Job summary

RC Precision Engineering SDN.BHD. in Bayan Lepas, Penang, is seeking an experienced CMM Programmer to support precision measurement and quality assurance activities.

You will develop and optimize CMM programs, perform FAI, interpret drawings, and generate inspection reports, while collaborating with production to ensure parts meet customer specifications. Proficiency with Mitutoyo CMMs and MiCAT software is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years experience in CMM operation and programming.
• Strong knowledge of engineering drawings.
• Hands-on experience with CMM software MiCAT.
• Experience in precision machining preferred.
• Ability to work independently and under tight timelines.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.
• Advantage: Offline programming/ Knowledge of CNC machining processes/ Experience handling tight tolerance parts (±0.01mm).

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize CMM programs.
• Perform First Article Inspection (FAI) and in-process inspection.
• Interpret engineering drawings.
• Generate inspection reports.
• Maintain calibration and basic upkeep of CMM equipment.
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
• Support internal and external audits (ISO, customer audits).
