FinOps Weekly is seeking a Senior/Manager Cloud FinOps Lead based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. You will develop and implement a cloud cost management framework, focusing on AWS and Azure cost optimization, governance, and reporting.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience with one or more cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Experience with capacity forecasting, cloud cost optimization techniques, financial reporting, and workflow management in large service environments.
• Ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders (across IS, finance, business functions) and drive service improvements.

Responsibilities

• Analyze Cloud Spending: monitor and analyze AWS/Azure costs to identify trends and savings opportunities.
• Cost Optimization Strategies: implement rightsizing, reservations, savings plans, and resource cleanup.
• Resource Management: ensure efficient utilization of cloud resources.
• Pricing Model Analysis: evaluate on-demand, reserved, and spot pricing based on workloads.
• Reporting: generate cost reports and forecasts for stakeholders.
• Cost Governance: define policies and best practices for cloud cost management.
• Performance KPIs: define and track cloud cost KPIs and benchmarks.
• Tool Implementation: configure AWS tools and cloud management platforms for cost management.
• Collaboration: work with application owners, Finance, and other teams to optimize costs.
