Job summary

Arup in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Climate & Sustainability professional to lead and deliver building, infrastructure and city planning projects focused on decarbonisation, resilience and sustainability advisory.

The role covers energy modelling, CFD, carbon assessment and building physics; you will guide project teams, review work quality and engage with clients at multiple levels. A relevant architecture/engineering degree and 6+ years’ experience are desirable.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of experience in a related role.
• Degree in Architecture, Consulting or Engineering.
• Experience leading projects on building sustainability, carbon assessment, net zero and advisory.
• Ability to analyse solar radiation, CFD, thermal comfort, energy modelling, daylighting and life cycle carbon.
• Experience with Rhino, Revit, SketchUp, AutoCAD, Grasshopper, Ladybug, Honeybee, OneClickLCA, IESVE; scripting helpful.
• Certified sustainability rating professional (GBI, GreenRE, LEED, WELL, EDGE, etc.).
• Strong communication across technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage delivery for building, infrastructure, city planning projects.
• Represent Arup in client engagements with sustainability advice.
• Manage projects as a technical lead or project manager, including budget and schedule.
• Perform energy modelling, CFD, carbon assessment and related analyses.
• Ensure quality and accuracy with minimal supervision.
