Job summary

CACEIS Malaysia is seeking an experienced Client Portfolio Compliance lead to oversee daily operations of the Kuala Lumpur team and apply the group's operational strategy. You will collaborate with senior leaders to drive governance, risk coverage, and timely service delivery.

The role requires 8–10 years in compliance and risk management within asset servicing, with strong analytical and communication skills. A strategic mindset and leadership experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Must-have: post-secondary education in accounting or finance or equivalent.
• Must-have: 8–10 years of relevant experience in the field.
• Must-have: strong technical and financial knowledge of risk management environments and regulatory frameworks (UCITS, ESMA).
• Must-have: solid understanding of financial products and derivatives instruments.
• Must-have: expertise in financial instrument eligibility analysis (targets, structured products, indexes).
• Must-have: experience in team governance and people development.
• Must-have: excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must-have: analytical thinker with strategic approach and decision-making under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily activities of the Client Portfolio Compliance Kuala Lumpur team.
• Collaborate with Head of Division and Head of Line to apply operational strategy.
• Lead and execute projects aligned with team strategy.
• Establish governance frameworks for risk coverage across the business.
• Manage the team to deliver services accurately and timely.
• Drive development and management of staff and organizational capabilities.
• Act as escalation point to resolve issues promptly.
• Foster strong team interaction and communication for operational excellence.
• Contribute to defining strategy and future direction of the function.
