Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field from a reputable university.
3–5 years of hands-on R&D or technical chemist experience with natural rubber latex; glove/rubber industries preferred.
Proven track record in polymer/rubber compounding, raw material assessment, and stability testing.
Hands-on proficiency with analytical lab instrumentation and product development software.
Strong experimental design, statistical data sorting, and scientific analysis skills.
Excellent problem-solving and results-driven mindset.
Ability to lead junior technicians in a fast-paced factory environment.

Responsibilities

Design, test, and optimize chemical compounding and rubber/latex formulations to meet global quality and performance standards.
Identify substitutions and process improvements to cut costs without compromising product integrity.
Oversee laboratory analyses and testing; maintain calibration and sterilization of equipment.
Provide technical guidance to production floor during new product introduction and trials.
Investigate technical customer complaints, perform root-cause stability testing, and generate reports to rectify issues.
Ensure compliance with local and international EHS regulations within the lab and operations.
