Job summary

Strateq Group is seeking a dedicated Senior Chargeman to join our Data Centre team and ensure the seamless operation of electrical and data centre facilities.

You will lead the Chargeman team, supervise contractors, maintain infrastructure, and uphold safety and compliance across all tasks.

Qualifications

• Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Possess Chargeman Certificate Level B0.
• Has minimum of 5 years of experience as a Chargeman.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on safety and compliance.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Chargeman Team: Lead and manage the chargeman team, facilitating daily operations.
• Ensure Operational Efficiency: Ensure that electrical and data centre facilities are functioning properly and efficiently.
• Maintenance and Updates: Regularly update and maintain electrical and data centre infrastructure.
• Inspections and Testing: Conduct scheduled inspections and testing of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Supervise Contractors: Supervise external contractors' work and monitor their performance to ensure quality standards.
• In-House Electrical Work: Perform in-house electrical tasks, including maintenance, inspection, and testing as directed by management.
