Job summary

DKSH Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Senior Business Analyst - Data, AI & Analytics to bridge business stakeholders and tech delivery teams, translating data, analytics and Gen AI needs into scalable, high‑impact solutions for the APAC region.

You will drive end-to-end business analysis across data platforms, Azure, Power BI, and Gen AI initiatives, produce clear requirements, and shape dashboards and KPI frameworks to enable data‑driven decisions.

Qualifications

• 7 to 10 years of experience in business analysis, data and analytics product delivery.
• Experience delivering data platforms, BI, reporting solutions, or AI initiatives.
• Hands-on exposure to data management, Azure cloud services and analytics delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end business analysis across data, analytics and Gen AI initiatives.
• Define scope with stakeholders and map current-state processes; lead workshops.
• Produce high-quality docs: BRD/FRS, user stories, acceptance criteria, flows, logs.
• Identify data governance, standardization and automation opportunities.
• Define data sources, integration, transformations and semantic models for Azure.
• Shape Power BI dashboards, KPI frameworks and self-service reporting.
• Frame Gen AI use cases with business problems and success measures.
• Own backlog prioritization, UAT coordination, dependency tracking and releases.
• Communicate changes, risks and progress to sponsors in business terms.
• Mentor junior analysts and elevate governance and documentation.

About the Role

The Senior Business Analyst - Data, AI & Analytics is the vital bridge between business stakeholders and technology delivery teams, leading the translation of complex data, analytics, and Generative Artificial Intelligence (Gen AI) needs into scalable, high-impact solutions. This role plays a central part in ensuring that DKSH's data and Artificial Intelligence (AI) products deliver measurable business value across the Asia Pacific (APAC) region.

What You Will Deliver

• Drive end-to-end business analysis across data management, Microsoft Azure-based data services, analytics, Power BI and Gen AI initiatives, translating business needs into clear and actionable requirements that enable successful delivery.
• Engage business stakeholders to define scope, clarify objectives and map current-state processes, creating the foundation for aligned and achievable delivery outcomes.
  Lead workshops, interviews and solution-design discussions that unite business users, product owners, data engineers, architects and vendors, driving meaningful cross-functional alignment.
• Produce high-quality documentation including business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows and decision logs that serve as the single source of truth for delivery teams.
• Identify opportunities across data flows, reporting gaps and governance structures to recommend standardization, automation and process improvements that strengthen operational performance.
• Define data source, integration, transformation, semantic model and consumption requirements that enable Azure data platform initiatives to deliver at scale.
  Partner with analytics teams to shape Power BI dashboards, Key Performance Indicator (KPI) frameworks, reporting journeys and self-service tools that empower business users to make confident, data-driven decisions.
• Frame and validate Gen AI use cases by defining business problems, success measures and responsible human-in-the-loop review processes that ensure safe and effective adoption.
• Own backlog prioritization, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) coordination, dependency tracking and release readiness to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
• Communicate requirement changes, risks, trade-offs and delivery progress to sponsors and stakeholders in a clear and business-friendly manner that supports confident decision-making.
• Serve as a trusted business-facing partner who drives alignment across functions and markets, while mentoring junior business analysts and elevating documentation and best practice standards across the team.

What You Bring

• University degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Data or Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Professional certification in Business Analysis, Agile or Scrum, Azure, Power BI, Data Management or AI and Gen AI is an added advantage.
• 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in business analysis, data and analytics product delivery, digital transformation, consulting or technology-enabled business roles.
• Proven track record delivering business and technical requirements for data platforms, Business Intelligence (BI) and reporting solutions, analytics products or AI-enabled initiatives.
• Hands-on exposure to data management, Azure cloud services, Power BI and business-facing analytics delivery is highly desirable.
• Experience collaborating with product owners, data engineers, architects, business stakeholders and external vendors across the full delivery lifecycle.
• Background in healthcare, commercial excellence, supply chain, finance or regional business transformation environments is an added advantage.
• Strong requirements elicitation, stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, business process analysis and documentation skills.
• Solid understanding of data management concepts including data quality, master and reference data, metadata, data lineage, data ownership and governance controls.
• Working knowledge of Azure data services and modern cloud data platform concepts, with the ability to collaborate effectively with architects and data engineers on solution requirements.
• Experienced in Power BI requirements definition, KPI design, semantic models, dashboard development, data storytelling and self-service BI adoption.
• Exposure to Gen AI or AI-enabled product delivery, including use-case framing, output validation and responsible AI controls.
• Strong analytical thinking, structured problem-solving and ability to move from ambiguity to clear execution plans.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and operate independently in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
• Familiar with Agile ways of working, backlog management, user stories, UAT, release readiness and change impact assessment.
