Job summary

Dyson is seeking a senior technical leader in Power Electronics to shape robust BMS and motor-drive designs for global products. You will own platform direction, run design reviews, manage risk, and drive production-ready solutions across multiple projects.

You will mentor engineers, raise engineering standards, and collaborate with ODM/OEM partners to ensure safety, reliability and high performance in a fast-paced, globally distributed environment.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of industry experience in electronic design and power electronics.
• Strong knowledge of Battery Management Systems (BMS) and secondary battery technologies.
• Experience designing power electronics products such as motor drives, inverters, SMPS, chargers, or similar systems.
• Deep understanding of MOSFETs, IGBTs, diodes, gate drivers and protection devices.
• Solid knowledge of circuit design, PCB layout, EMC/EMI mitigation, and manufacturability.
• Experience with ODM/JDM/OEM/EMS suppliers and manufacturing readiness tasks.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for power electronics and BMS design across multiple projects.
• Define technical direction for platform architecture, reviews, risk management and production readiness.
• Lead development of BMS, motor drive, inverter, SMPS, and power conversion solutions.
• Mentor engineers and promote engineering standards, guidelines and processes.
• Collaborate with global teams, suppliers and manufacturing to ensure reliable, safe and compliant designs.
• Drive continuous improvement in tools, simulation, verification and design documentation.
