Job summary

HICOM Engineering is seeking an early-career Marketing & Strategy Support professional in Shah Alam to assist market research, KPI tracking, and business development activities. You will gather industry data, track strategic initiatives, and coordinate inputs for management presentations and briefs.

The role requires a bachelor degree in Business/Marketing or related fields, with 1–2 years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce or related field.
Preferably 1-2 years of experience in Marketing and/or Strategy
Have good knowledge in market research methods and competitive analysis fundamentals, strategic initiative and KPI tracking tools, business case and presentation support, commercial documentation and reporting, basic project and task coordination.
Required key competencies include market research and data gathering, strategic initiative and KPI tracking, business case and presentation support, commercial documentation and reporting, and cross-functional coordination and follow-through.

Responsibilities

To conduct market research and data gathering — tracking industry trends, competitor activities and business opportunity indicators across relevant segments.
To support strategic initiative tracking — maintaining KPI dashboards, progress trackers and action logs across BD workstreams.
To support business case and management presentation preparation — compiling data, formatting materials and coordinating inputs from internal stakeholders.
To assist in M&A and JV research activities — conducting background research, data compilation and preliminary screening support as directed.
To coordinate BD administrative requirements — managing documentation, meeting coordination, filing and stakeholder correspondence.
To support NPI and go-to-market coordination — assisting in tracking milestones and consolidating cross-functional inputs.
To prepare reports, summary updates and briefing materials for review by the Assistant Manager, Marketing & Strategy.
