Job summary

Doherty IT Solutions in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Azure Infrastructure Consultant to join our global Managed Services team, focusing on senior-level Azure expertise within our MSP function. You will act as the technical escalation point for complex Azure issues and lead engagements across migrations, optimization, and governance.

You will build trusted relationships with customer stakeholders, provide technical leadership during incidents, and contribute to professional services

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience supporting and administering Microsoft Azure environments.
• Experience within an MSP, Managed Services, or customer-facing support environment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across Azure infrastructure technologies.
• Experience supporting Azure networking, identity, security, and infrastructure services.
• Experience working with Azure IaaS workloads.
• Strong knowledge of Azure networking concepts including VPNs, ExpressRoute, Hub & Spoke, Network Security Groups, and Private Endpoints.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, Conditional Access, and Azure security controls.
• Experience working with PowerShell for administration and automation.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary Azure escalation point for complex Microsoft Azure infrastructure and platform issues.
• Serve as the primary customer-facing technical lead for Azure-related incidents, operational issues, escalations, and service improvements.
• Act as the technical owner during major incidents affecting Azure services, coordinating technical investigation, recovery activities, stakeholder communications, and root cause analysis.
• Provide clear and regular updates to customer stakeholders throughout major incidents, ensuring visibility of technical findings, business impact, recovery progress, and remediation plans.
• Troubleshoot and resolve advanced Azure-related incidents across compute, networking, identity, storage, and security services.
• Work closely with Managed Services engineers to provide guidance and technical expertise.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes for recurring technical issues.
• Identify operational risks and recommend remediation activities to improve platform stability and reliability.
• Contribute to problem management activities and continual service improvement initiatives.
• Support platform optimisation activities including performance, resilience, security, and operational improvements.
