Job summary

Alliance Bank Malaysia Berhad is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to lead monthly closings, prepare statutory reports for quarterly, half-yearly and year-end audits, and ensure timely submission to Bank Negara Malaysia. You will compile financial data, perform reasonableness analyses, support internal and external requests, and publish financial statements for the website and newspaper.

• Good working knowledge of accounting standards.
• Banking regulatory knowledge including Companies Act, Financial Services Act, BNM guidelines & Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements.
• 8+ years of accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly closing of accounts and perform reasonableness analysis for accuracy of financial numbers.
• Draft statutory reports for quarterly, half-yearly and year-end audited accounts.
• Ensure timely monthly closings and statutory reports.
• Prepare and compile financial data for submission to Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM).
• Support internal/external requests with financial data, analysis and benchmarking.
• Prepare financial statements for website and newspaper publication.
• Coordinate with internal auditors, external auditors and BNM.
