Job summary

Focal Consulting in Kuala Lumpur seeks an automation engineer to build scalable web and Android automation systems using Python or Go, Playwright/Selenium, and Appium.

You'll manage Android device farms, automate APK deployments, and design resilient services with strong logging and monitoring. Collaboration across security, DevOps, and product teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Proven track record of independently building, delivering, and scaling production-grade automation systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Python (threading, subprocess, asyncio) or Go, Playwright/Selenium, Appium, ADB/Android internals, and REST APIs.
• Strong grasp of web application mechanics, token authentication (JWT), session cookies, and basic encryption.
• Experience with Docker, Nginx, cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure), Java/Kotlin, CI/CD pipelines, and Fintech transaction automation.
• Ownership-driven, open-minded, and capable of self-researching complex solutions; demonstrable automation portfolio (GitHub or demo).

• DevOps & Integration: Build CLI orchestration tools, integrate RESTful APIs and WebSocket communications, and manage containerized or VM automation clusters.
