Job summary

EY in Malaysia is seeking an experienced External Audit professional to join the Assurance group. You will lead engagements, define audit strategy and ensure high-quality delivery while maintaining client relationships and coaching junior staff.

The role emphasizes professional development, ongoing learning, and leadership within a dynamic, inclusive environment that supports flexible working arrangements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or ACCA Affiliate status.
• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, MICPA, ICAEW) desired.
• MIA eligibility is preferred.
• Minimum of five years’ experience in a professional services environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage engagements by defining audit strategy with senior manager/partner.
• Execute complex audit procedures and lead teams on engagements.
• Maintain high-quality work and strong client relationships.
• Escalate risks and foster junior team development.
