Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced engineer to manage Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and related test hardware in a semiconductor manufacturing context. You will develop procedures, troubleshoot, train staff, and drive improvements across testers, burn-in systems, and handling equipment.

The role requires 4–6 years of industrial experience in equipment development or maintenance and a degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering. ISO9000/QS9000 knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with tester, handler and burn-in equipment or automated manufacturing systems.
• Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes.
• Experience in equipment development, installation, qualification and maintenance.
• Team players with initiative and independent work style.

Responsibilities

• Develop and establish equipment operating procedures, troubleshooting and service/maintenance programs.
• Monitor equipment issues, analyze and initiate problem solving or engineering solutions.
• Assist product or manufacturing groups in new product or process development and qualification.
• Liaise with test vendors and component vendors for sourcing and resolution of issues.
• Develop training and troubleshooting programs on equipment and hardware.
• Develop hardware inventory management program.
• Ensure high equipment performance and maximize uptime.
