Job summary

PwC South East Asia Consulting in Malaysia seeks a senior SAP MM consultant to lead end‑to‑end S/4HANA implementations. You will analyse business needs, design solutions, and collaborate with client teams to deliver value across MM, FICO and related SAP modules.

You will drive blueprinting, configuration, data migration, testing and cut‑over activities, while coaching teams and ensuring quality. Prior multi‑site rollout experience is essential, with strong stakeholder engagement and delivery

Qualifications

• Sound understanding of the MM process and ability to provide optimal solutions using S/4HANA
• Exposure to ASAP implementation methodologies or other accelerated delivery approaches
• Know-how in design, blueprinting, configuration, functional specification, unit testing and integration testing
• Strong client engagement skills (requirements gathering, workshop facilitation)
• Capability to work on milestone-based deliverables

Responsibilities

• Proactive involvement in end‑to‑end S/4HANA implementation/Rollout/Upgrade/Development/Support activities in SAP MM
• Configure S/4HANA MM conforming to client standards and integrate with other SAP modules
• Experience integrating with SAP Project System, SAP FICO and other SAP modules
• Secondary skills include EWM, QM and LE for broader SAP scope
• Lead design, blueprinting, configuration and testing activities across projects
• Coaching teammates and ensuring high quality deliverables

Job description

Roles and Responsibilities

• Proactive involvement in an end‑to‑end implementation of S/4HANA
• Conduct business needs analysis and identify key business challenges with client teams and stakeholders
• Identify improvement opportunities to achieve clients’ desired business outcomes
• Define the ‘To‑Be’ stage of processes, solution application requirements and performance measurement
• Co‑develop deployment/enablement strategy, roadmap and plan to achieve the ‘To‑Be’ stage effectively
• Conduct deployment activities and measure achievement of desired outcomes
• Lead change for large‑scale multi‑site S/4HANA implementations and other related transformational change initiatives, including efficiency and effectiveness efforts, organisational restructurings and capability development
• Support the team in gaining access to tenders, building proposals, winning work and delivering projects
• Act to resolve issues that prevent the team from working effectively
• Coach others, recognise their strengths, and encourage them to take ownership of their personal development

Technical Responsibilities

• Involvement in planning, leading and executing SAP S/4HANA Implementation/Rollout/Upgrade/Development/Support activities in SAP Material Management
• Ability to configure S/4HANA Material Management conforming to the client’s standards and integrate it with other S/4HANA modules and SAP systems such as Ariba, Concur, MDM, PI and other core SAP platforms
• Experience integrating with SAP Project System, SAP FICO and other SAP modules
• Secondary skills include: Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), Quality Management (QM) and Logistics Execution (LE)
• Strong capability in business process design, configuration, functional specification development, custom object unit testing and system integration testing

Skills and Experience Requirements

• Sound understanding of the MM process and ability to provide optimal solutions utilizing S/4HANA processes
• Exposure to ASAP implementation methodologies or other accelerated methodologies for quick delivery
• Know‑how in design, blueprinting, configuration, functional specification, unit testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing, authorisation, data migration and cut‑overs
• Deep client engagement skills (requirements gathering, workshop facilitation)
• Capability to work on milestone‑based deliverables

Prerequisites

• 6‑9 years’ experience in the SAP Material Management module, with 5‑6 full‑cycle implementations of mid‑ to high‑complexity projects
• Excellent client‑facing interactions, leading workshops, design & blueprinting, configuration, system build, training and cut‑over
• Team‑lead experience, having led a team of SAP MM consultants

Additional Advantages

• Prior experience in Real Estate, Construction, Property Development or Plantation industries is an added advantage
• Ability to contribute to RFI/RFP response preparation
