Job summary

MUFG Investor Services is recruiting for a Senior Associate, Fund Accountant (Private Equity) to provide a full spectrum of PE fund accounting services, including NAV preparation, accruals, and investor allocations.

The role requires 4+ years in accounting/fund administration, strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP, and proficient Excel skills. Hybrid work arrangement offered with global support from MUFG.

Qualifications

• Hold a university degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Qualified accountant or similar professional qualification preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years progressive accounting/fund admin experience in PE or private credit.
• Strong knowledge of management and performance fees, FX translation, P&L and balance sheet.
• Solid IFRS, US GAAP and Singapore GAAP knowledge.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Investran is an advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to liaise with external parties.

Responsibilities

• Provide full fund accounting services to private equity clients: NAV, accruals, valuation, cash reconciliations.
• Prepare fee schedules including management fee and waterfall calculations.
• Prepare investor allocations for each NAV cycle and correct booking of capital transactions.
• Prepare NAV packages and other ad hoc deliverables per SLAs.
• Calculate and allocate capital calls and distributions.
• Communicate with internal MUFG teams and external clients; meet deliverables and requests.
• Resolve issues promptly and maintain high client satisfaction.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.

• Provide a full range of fund accounting services to private equity clients, including NAV preparation, accruals, Investment valuation, cash reconciliations.

• Prepare fee schedules including calculation of management fee and waterfall, ensuring all calculations observe applicable fund documents.
• Prepare Investor allocations for each NAV cycle ensuring capital transactions are booked correctly and P&L is allocated correctly.
• Prepare NAV packages and other ad hoc deliverables as defined in the service level agreements.
• Prepare capital call, distribution calculation and allocation.
• Communicate with internal MUFG teams and external clients, ensuring all deliverables and requests are met.
• Resolve issues/queries raised clients in a timely manner and maintain a high level of client satisfaction
• Identify and highlight opportunities for internal process improvement and increase in operational efficiency
• Perform other duties as assigned and incidental to the work described above

• Hold a university degree in Finance/ Accounting, qualified accountant or other relevant qualification preferred
• Have a minimum of 4 years progressive accounting/ audit/ fund administration experience in private credit or private equity industry preferred.
• Strong accounting knowledge - especially in management and performance fees calculation, FX translation, profit and lost, and balance sheet.
• Good knowledge in in IFRS, US GAAP and Singapore GAAP.
• Strong computer skills with strength in Microsoft Office products and willing to embrace new technologies for efficient solution. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is particularly asset.
• Knowledge of Investran accounting software would be an advantage.
• Good written and verbal communication skills and experience liaising with external parties.
• Ability to work in fast paced environment and multi-tasking.
• Experience with Investran accounting software would be an advantage.
