Job summary

Veritas Design Group is seeking a Lead Architect in Sarawak to lead projects from design development to completion. You will prepare and review drawings, coordinate submissions, and ensure compliance with local regulations while guiding clients, consultants, and contractors.

You will monitor progress, supervise the team, and provide technical leadership. The role requires coordinating with authorities, attending meetings, and ensuring documentation accuracy in line with company standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage architectural projects from design development through project completion in Sarawak.
• Prepare, review, and coordinate architectural drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
• Ensure all designs and submissions comply with local authority requirements, building regulations, and statutory approvals in Sarawak.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and relevant authorities to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Prepare and manage planning, building plan, and authority submissions, and follow up on approvals.
• Attend client, consultant, technical, and site meetings, and provide technical advice when required.
• Monitor project progress, quality, budget, and timelines to ensure successful project delivery.
• Conduct site inspections and resolve design and construction issues promptly.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to Architects, Assistant Architects, and BIM team members.
• Support tender preparation, contract administration, and project certifications where required.
• Ensure all project documentation is complete, accurate, and maintained in accordance with company standards.
• Comply with the company’s policies, procedures, quality management system, and statutory requirements.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Management.
• Review and approve architectural drawings and project documentation within the assigned authority.
• Represent the company in meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, and government authorities.
• Coordinate and liaise with local authorities in Sarawak for project submissions and approvals.
• Provide technical guidance and recommendations to project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
