Sysmex Malaysia is seeking an Application Specialist to provide pre- and post-sales application support, including product demonstrations, technical consultation, user training, and guidance for instrument and assay operation.

You will troubleshoot, deliver training, collaborate with Sales and Marketing, and ensure compliance with quality management and regulatory requirements while supporting deployment and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Biomedical Science or related field is required.
• Minimum 5 years in healthcare, clinical laboratory, or related field; experience with clinical flow cytometry is a plus.
• Strong communication, analytical, and documentation skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide pre- and post-sales application support, troubleshooting, and timely resolution of customer issues to ensure optimal system performance and customer satisfaction.
• Manage customer complaints, escalations, CAPAs, Field Corrective Actions, Adverse Events, and audit findings, with timely follow-up and closure.
• Support project implementation activities including user training, performance studies, system customization, go-live support, and meeting customer requirements.
• Conduct instrument and reagent demonstrations, evaluations, validations, and performance assessments in line with customer objectives and company standards.
• Develop and deliver training programs for customers, laboratory professionals, and internal teams, serving as SME for the assigned business unit.

We are looking for an Application Specialist to provide pre- and post-sales application support, including product demonstrations, technical consultation, user training, and application guidance.
The role is responsible for providing timely troubleshooting and application support, to resolve customer issues and ensure effective analyser and assay operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide pre- and post-sales application support, troubleshooting, and timely resolution of customer issues to ensure optimal system performance and customer satisfaction.
• Manage customer complaints, escalations, CAPAs, Field Corrective Actions, Adverse Events, and audit findings, including timely follow-up, communication, and closure.
• Support project implementation activities, including user training, performance studies, system customization, go-live support, and fulfilment of customer requirements to ensure successful deployment.
• Conduct instrument and reagent demonstrations, evaluations, validations, and performance assessments in accordance with customer objectives and company standards.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance on instrument operation, settings, IQC/EQA activities, and workflow optimization for Sysmex medical devices.
• Develop and deliver training programs for customers, laboratory professionals, and internal teams, serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the assigned business unit, and provide technical guidance and mentorship to Application Specialists.
• Support scientific affairs activities, including seminars, user group meetings, continuing medical education (CME) programs, exhibitions, conferences, clinical studies, and other relevant events
• Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to support business growth through technical consultations, development of marketing tools, competitor analysis, and customer engagement activities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, quality management requirements, departmental procedures, local regulatory requirements, and timely completion of all required documentation and administrative records.
• Undertake other special assignments or related duties as may be assigned by Management from time to time.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Biomedical Science Medical / Health Laboratory Technology or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in healthcare, clinical laboratory, life science or a related field. Experienced in clinical flow cytometry an added advantage.
• Planning, prioritization, time management, and multitasking abilities.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
• Communication and presentation skills for engaging with customers and stakeholders.
• Customer-focused approach with prompt and professional support.
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, collaborate across functions, and share knowledge and best practices.
• Hands-on experience with Haematology, Haemostasis, Urinalysis, Chemistry, Immunochemistry, and/or Flow Cytometry analyzers.
• Experience in laboratory and data analysis software, result interpretation, assay troubleshooting, application optimization, validation, and performance evaluation.
• Ability to develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, training materials, and application-related documentation.
