Job summary

Givaudan in Malaysia seeks a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Accountant (Japanese Speaker) to join our Procure-to-Pay team. You will manage AP operations, GR/IR reconciliations, and vendor queries across APAC, acting as a liaison between vendors and multiple internal teams to ensure accurate reconciliations and timely issue resolution.

The role requires strong analytical skills, a customer-focused mindset, and excellent communication in Japanese and English.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years in Accounts Payable, P2P or Shared Services.
• Fluent in Japanese and English (spoken and written).
• Experience handling vendor queries in APAC region.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for Japanese-speaking stakeholders and vendors.
• Analyze and resolve GR/IR discrepancies and related exceptions.
• Manage stakeholder queries via ticketing platforms, email, and other channels.
• Investigate operational and system-related issues with cross-functional teams to implement solutions.
• Perform root cause analysis on recurring issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor open tickets, escalations, and provide regular updates and reporting.
• Support month-end activities, reconciliations, and KPI reporting.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, audits, and company policies.
