Job summary

MSD Malaysia is seeking a Japanese Speaking Accounts Payable Specialist to support transparency reporting and data reconciliation across global markets. You will align with the Data Steward and Finance teams to ensure accurate AP processing and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of accounting or AP experience, with strong English and Japanese communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-border environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Science, Economy, Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
• Minimum of 3 years of work experience in accounting, accounts payable, finance, or business administration.
• Able to speak, read & write in English and Japanese.
• Effective communication skills (written and spoken in English).
• Detail oriented with a process-improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform data reconciliation between data sources (Comet, Veeva) and reporting tool (Medispend) for transparency reporting.
• Make data corrections based on reconciliation and reviews by data stewards.
• Prepare and submit accurate reports complying with local transparency regulations.
• Communicate data validation outputs and compliance requirements to stakeholders.
• Provide training and support to data stewards on transparency reporting processes.
• Provide updates on upcoming enhancements in the reporting tool.
• Assist in developing and improving SOPs related to transparency reporting.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead efficiency initiatives.
• Work with finance, compliance, and business units to align reporting practices.
