Job summary

Nexperia is seeking an AOI Specialist to optimize, maintain, and improve AOI systems in SMT/PCB/electronics production environments in Malaysia. You will develop and refine inspection programs, analyze defect trends, and drive continuous improvements to achieve higher yield and quality.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting AOI equipment, supporting NPI, planning preventive maintenance, and generating KPI reports.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, and maintain AOI inspection programs.
• Fine-tune inspection parameters to improve detection accuracy and reduce false calls.
• Analyze AOI inspection results and defect trends; identify root causes.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and drive continuous improvement.
• Troubleshoot AOI equipment, software, and process-related issues; support production teams.
• Verify AOI defect classification accuracy and ensure quality audits.
• Support NPI by developing inspection strategies for new assemblies.
• Plan preventive maintenance and monitor calibration and spare parts.
• Generate yield, defect, and machine performance reports; present findings to management.
• Train operators and technicians on AOI operation and SOPs.
