Jones Lang LaSalle Property Consultants Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced AO Chargeman to join our Kuala Lumpur City Centre team. This full-time role focuses on managing and operating building automation and electrical systems across our properties, ensuring safety, compliance and optimal performance.

The AO Chargeman will supervise installations, coordinate maintenance, and mentor technicians while liaising with contractors to meet high service standards.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications in electrical engineering, building automation or related disciplines.
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in building automation systems, electrical maintenance or facilities management.
• Strong knowledge of building management systems (BMS), HVAC controls and electrical distribution systems.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools, testing equipment and system analysis software.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
• Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience with the ability to manage and mentor technical staff.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Commitment to health and safety compliance and a proactive approach to risk management.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Relevant certifications such as C&I registration or equivalent professional qualifications are highly desirable.

Responsabilités

• Supervise and coordinate the installation, maintenance and repair of building automation systems and electrical equipment.
• Monitor and troubleshoot building management systems to ensure continuous optimal performance.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance schedules on all electrical and automation systems.
• Manage technical documentation, system configurations and operational manuals for all building systems.
• Liaise with contractors, vendors and external service providers to ensure quality workmanship and compliance.
• Respond to system failures and emergency situations with prompt diagnostic and remedial action.
• Train and guide junior technicians and support staff on system operations and safety procedures.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, electrical codes and building standards.
• Prepare reports on system performance, maintenance activities and recommendations for upgrades or improvements.
• Collaborate with building management and facilities teams to optimise energy efficiency and operational costs.
