Job summary

UOB Innovation Hub 2 Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Android Developer to manage and enhance the bank's mobile banking app in production. You will lead technical delivery for L3 fixes, design solutions, and collaborate with digital banking leads to ensure reliable releases.

You should have 6+ years in software development, strong Kotlin/Java, Android SDK, UI design, and experience leading squads of 6–8. Knowledge of CI/CD, Jira/Confluence, and modern app architectures is highly valued.

Qualifications

6+ years of software development experience, preferably in digital banking or mobile development.
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar domain; additional professional qualifications are advantageous.
Hands-on experience leading squads/teams of 6–8 people, with task management and technical decisions.
Strong Kotlin/Java Android development, UI design and modern architecture understanding.
Familiarity with web CMSs (AEM Forms/Sites, TeamSite) and DevOps practices is a plus.

Responsibilities

Manage and support the mobile banking application in production (L3 fixes).
Design solutions, implement features, test and support deliveries.
Ensure quality in line with bank-defined delivery methodology and tools.
Collaborate with Digital Banking leads to plan and manage transitions.
Provide technical leadership for the squad and enforce standards, DoD and DoR.
Facilitate Agile ceremonies and support Product Owners in backlog management.
Coordinate with Technical Delivery Manager, System Analyst, and Tribe Lead on solution and deliverability.
Provide timely updates to management and stakeholders.
Drive improvements in methods, tools, people, architecture and governance.
