Job summary

Edwards Lifesciences Malaysia is seeking a Senior Analyst, Finance, Cost Accounting to support cost accounting activities and drive accurate financial outcomes in a manufacturing setting. You will analyze inventory-related results, collaborate with Supply Chain, and prepare journal entries and reconciliations.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration with 5 years of relevant experience in a large manufacturing company, and strong Excel/ERP skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration with at least 5 years in cost accounting or related finance roles.
• Experience in a large manufacturing environment preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Excel and ERP systems (JDE, Oracle, SAP) is required.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing and cost accounting processes.

Responsibilities

• Support cost accounting activities and drive business outcomes.
• Analyze monthly inventory-related accounting results and intercompany eliminations.
• Create insights from financial trends and present findings to management.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain to assess financial impact of process changes.
• Perform month-end close tasks including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Assess system capabilities and recommend improvements.

How you’ll make an impact:

• Apply professional expertise and judgment to support cost accounting activities and business outcomes
• Analyze and interpret complex monthly accounting results for inventory related sales, including intercompany profit elimination reporting and allocations claims, analyzing inventory obsolescence and write off by working with Supply Chain and other stakeholders. Provide insights and make recommendations regarding possible course corrections
• Draw findings from financial trend reports, synthesize information, and create presentations for management
• Partner with Supply Chain leaders to advise on financial impact of recent/proposed process changes
• Prepare and process month-end journal entries; prepare balance sheet account reconciliations; calculate, update, and maintain product standard cost in ERP system; gathering data and generating reports in support of manufacturing trend analysis
• Assess system capabilities and process efficiencies, and make recommendations for enhancements and upgrades
• Assist in compliance activities (e.g., SOX, key and internal controls, physical inventory)
• Other incidental duties

What you’ll need (Required):

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration, 5 years experience of previous related experience Required and
• Experience working in a large manufacturing company
• Proven expertise in MS Office Suite, including advanced Excel and related financial systems; ERP (e.g., JDE, Oracle, SP) experience
• Good understanding of manufacturing and cost accounting processes
